Datum Storage Solutions Announces Merger of 3 Brands

For several years, Datum Storage Solutions has operated multiple brands catering to the storage needs for a variety of markets. The three brands Datum was supporting were: Datum, Argos Security, and Intellerum. It eventually became apparent that the best course of action would be to merge the three brands under the Datum name in order to better cater to client needs.

The main issues that led to the necessity of merging the three brands were having them operate on three separate websites that each shared a fair amount of products. Many of the markets the three Datum brands focused on saw overlap in products that sometimes led customers to a different brand’s site that did not specifically cater to their industry. Through thorough research, it became apparent that merging the three brands into solely Datum was the best move, especially when it came to the online presence and search results for products.

The conclusion was reached because Datum’s brand equity significantly outweighed that of its other two brands. Moving forward, all three brands are consolidated under one Datum-branded umbrella.

Merging these brands together creates a clearer path for customers that cuts down on confusion and a lack of clarity while also providing greater opportunities for cross-selling in different markets. Datum’s product categories have been restructured into a more logical, customer-focused path for product search and vertical markets have been added to the brand’s website to support more sales and assist various markets’ storage needs.
